During Summer 2010 we meet at Historical Centre, Pernstynske Sq., 1st floor (entrance to the Cafe Evropa, just walk straight ahead through old swing door to the hall with winding stairs and walk upstairs).
Whatever your personal goals may be, much of your success in life will depend on your ability to speak. People who can effectively communicate possess one of the skills necessary for successful living.
Toastmasters International provides the tools that enable people to develop this skills.
In Toastmasters, you learn by doing; by actually speaking to groups of people. You learn in comfortable surroundings, not in a sterile classroom environment.

The World Headquarters of this non-profit organization is located in California, USA.
The Toastmasters programme has proven itself around the world. Globally, nearly three million people of all ages and occupations have participated in the club programmes. On average, the gross membership of Toastmasters International increases at a rate of approximately 250 people per day, for a total of more than 220,000 members in more than 11,300 clubs in more than 90 countries.

Our Club
We meet in the European Club-House, Pernstynske Sq., 3rd floor (entrance from the Klasterni Street), Pardubice, Czech Republic. Meetings are held every Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Our club held its first informal meeting in December 1, 1997, at the University of Pardubice. Since then we have received the support and ecouragement from the Institute of Languages and Humanities, at the University of Pardubice (Mgr. Kubrychtova), allowing us to organize our meetings in their classroom.
We have earned permission from Toastmaster's International Headquarters to hold our meetings as a provisional club from the January 1, 1998. During "crystallization period" (by the end of April 1998) our membership reached the magic level of 20 faithful and enthusiastic members .
Our club was officially chartered by the decision of the Toastmaster's headquarters May 12, 1998 (Club number 9854-U).
